About the role

Responsibilities
- Help to deliver best-in-class enterprise AI guardrails and AI monitoring solutions, working as a partner to our Machine Learning, Generative AI and Agentic Labs.
- Accelerate the responsible development and deployment of frontier AI use cases, including AI agents.
- Demonstrate leadership on responsible AI, helping to shape Lloyds Banking Group’s standard of responsible AI adoption.
- Identify opportunities and support embedding best-in-class approaches into AI development workflows.
- Guide a team of Responsible AI Specialists who equally build out guardrails and enable key use cases.
Requirements
- PhD in AI or a related field or equivalent, significant industry experience working in a technical data role.
- Proven experience developing AI solutions to the highest ethical standards, including directly engaging with AI product teams.
- Expertise in AI risks particularly as it relates to Generative AI and Agentic AI, and how to mitigate these risks through tooling and procedures.
- A good understanding of Cloud technologies including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the Responsible AI tooling available on GCP / VertexAI.
- Excellent relationship management with the ability to influence senior partners and course correct initiatives towards strategic outcomes.
- Experience in team leadership.
