About the role

  • Answers telephones, screens calls and takes messages so callers/visitors are dealt with promptly, courteously and accurately.
  • Transcribes, type, format and proof reads a variety of material using word processing, presentation, graphics and spreadsheet software.
  • Coordinates internal and external meetings including scheduling meeting times, making travel arrangements for attendees and ensuring that various meeting amenities are available.
  • Manages the appointments and schedules of staff in the unit.
  • Uses office equipment such as photocopiers, faxes and printers.
  • Performs other administrative tasks according to established guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Minimal or no work experience required.
