Responsibilities
Manage pre-award activities and perform post-award activities
Provide research administration oversight including personnel, payroll, budgeting, and operations management
Oversee research administration for assigned divisions in the Department of Pediatrics
Monitor, analyze, and prepare financial reports for faculty research portfolios
Monitor grant and department research accounts in Workday
Supervise and train others in the submission of grant and contract proposals
Oversee the submission and post-award activities of research or clinical trial studies
Responsible for research faculty and staff sourcing/payroll costing allocation
Manage annual salary planning process for research staff
Communicate and administer all policies and procedures to faculty and staff
Monitor compliance of faculty and staff with internal and external policies and procedures
Maintain personnel records and oversee scheduling of employees, evaluating process, and resolving personnel problems
Review and screen job applications and conduct interviews
Recommend and participate in the development of policies & procedures
Organize and attend meetings and conferences and participate in various Departmental and University committees
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
7+ years of accounting experience
3+ years of grants administration experience
