About the role
- Commercial Fisheries Manager for Wood's Technical Consulting team, supporting clients in fisheries management with potential remote work.
Responsibilities
- Ensures effective management of fisheries liaison services, transparent financial oversight, and strong collaboration between contractors, operators, and fishers
- Integrates stakeholder feedback into project planning and fosters open communication
- Safeguards operational efficiency and community trust while driving best practices in fisheries management
- Builds strong stakeholder relationships acting as a trusted interface between project teams, contractors, and the fishing community
- Engages proactively to anticipate potential conflicts, ensures timely resolution of issues, and safeguards interests of the project and local fishers
Requirements
- Experience of being either a CFLO or an Operator Commercial Fisheries Manager
- Prior project experience of dealing with commercial fisheries (ideally in UK)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive alignment between operators, and foster collaborative relationships
- Skilled in conflict resolution and proactive in identifying and mitigating risks related to fisheries management
