About the role

  • Key Account Manager responsible for creating sustainable energy solutions in B2B sectors. Managing key accounts and driving sales processes from start to contract within a growing energy company.

Responsibilities

  • Account development & growth - Identify and develop strategic customers in industry, logistics and commercial sectors and build long-term relationships with decision-makers
  • End-to-end sales process - Independently manage the entire sales cycle—from first contact and structured needs analysis to contract negotiation and closing
  • Business cases & profitability - Develop, model and present business cases, ROI and savings models, and confidently make data-driven economic arguments
  • Market-oriented customer engagement - Regularly visit customers, analyze business models and energy consumption, and work with internal specialists to develop concrete project proposals
  • Pipeline & market management - Independently structure your market, prioritize opportunities using clear funnel and stage‑gate logic, and manage your pipeline data‑driven, for example via a CRM system (Pipedrive)
  • Internal collaboration & implementation - Work closely with planning, project management and executive leadership and support projects from concept to economically viable implementation

Requirements

  • Consultative B2B sales experience - Several years of experience selling complex, consultative products or solutions and confidence navigating complex decision-making processes
  • Business acumen & numerical skills - Business cases, KPIs, ROI models and economic arguments are essential tools you use effectively in sales
  • Structured sales approach - Work systematically with CRM systems, actively manage your pipeline and prioritize opportunities based on probabilities and relevance rather than gut feeling
  • Basic technical understanding - Enjoy diving into technical and energy-related topics and explaining them clearly and persuasively
  • Closing skills & self-motivation - Proactively engage the market, persistently follow up and drive topics through to closing
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - Take responsibility, make decisions and act reliably both internally and externally
  • German language skills - Good to very good written and spoken German to communicate confidently in business situations
