About the role

  • IT Technician at CM Labs providing first-line support for IT equipment and user requests. Managing hardware setups and assisting with software updates in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support (in person, by phone and via the ticketing system) for desktops, laptops, peripherals and software.
  • Install, configure and maintain Windows/Mac laptops, docking stations and mobile devices.
  • Assist with account management and access control (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VPN, etc.).
  • Help users troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues (wired/wireless, printers, VPN).
  • Track and resolve IT support tickets according to defined SLAs.
  • Prepare and deploy equipment for new hires, including imaging and onboarding.
  • Maintain IT inventory (laptops, monitors, docking stations, accessories).
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
  • Contribute to IT documentation (knowledge base, procedures).
  • Participate in remote client software updates.

Requirements

  • College diploma or certification in IT (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in technical support or help desk (internships considered).
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams and Outlook.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, Wi‑Fi, VPN).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual in French and English required.
