About the role

  • IT Medical Imaging Analyst enhancing and maintaining medical imaging applications for Virtua Health System. Collaborating on clinical applications and ensuring optimal performance for various service lines.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining medical imaging and clinical applications within the Virtua Health System.
  • This support includes medical imaging and clinical applications as well as the workflows used in the following service lines: Cardiology, Dental, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Neurology, Perinatal, and Radiology.
  • Responsibilities include assistance with the optimization of the application through development of new functionality, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects.
  • Provide technical and functional application analysis and develop logical data models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance, electronic auditing, and data integrity.
  • Ability to understand and support IT application and system integrations.
  • Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications, and develop, plan and execute testing for supported applications.
  • Knowledge and adherence to cybersecurity and HIPAA policies and practices.

Requirements

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in IT or healthcare operations related field can also include coursework or healthcare/IT internship.
  • Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • IT certifications may be required as needed by Virtua.
  • If IT certification, such as Epic certification, is required at time of hire, employee must obtain up-to-date certification in designated application(s) within 6 months of employment.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
