About the role

  • Leading Virgin’s social presence as Senior Social Media Manager. Overseeing social strategy, content planning, and team leadership in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the social media team day to day, setting clear direction, high standards and pace
  • Own and deliver the social strategy across Virgin channels, ensuring cultural relevance and cut-through
  • Stay closely tuned into trends and moments, confidently deciding when and how Virgin shows up
  • Drive proactive content planning, spotting opportunities before they peak
  • Lead the development and delivery of campaign-led social activity, from concept to launch and performance review
  • Stay connected to our channels, combining hands-on posting with strategic oversight
  • Work closely with internal teams, Virgin companies and external partners to deliver joined-up social moments

Requirements

  • Deep, up-to-date knowledge of social platforms and how culture moves across them
  • Proven experience leading a social media team or function
  • Strong campaign experience, with examples of culturally relevant social work
  • Confidence making fast, sound decisions in a reactive social environment
  • A proactive and curious mindset and a sharp eye for what’s coming next
