About the role
- Accountant managing daily accounting operations including bookkeeping and financial reports for a growing international SaaS company.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage ongoing accounting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) for German and international entities
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable: invoicing, payment processing, collections
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, including provisions, accruals and account reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax filings (e.g. ZM — EU Sales Listing, OSS — One-Stop-Shop)
- Assist with annual financial statements, tax audits and collaboration with auditors and tax advisors
- Contribute to process improvements and digitalization within the SAP ERP system
- Coordinate with other teams (e.g. Purchasing, Legal, Controlling)
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial training with further qualification as Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) and/or comparable qualification, e.g. a relevant degree (Bachelor/Master in Accounting)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in an international environment or within the IT/software/cloud sector
- Very good knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB) and VAT law
- Confident user of accounting software (SAP Business One) and MS Excel; experience with Google Sheets and other tools is a plus
- Careful, structured and independent working style
- Business-fluent German and very good English, both written and spoken (English is our corporate language)
