Business Development Representative at Venn conducting outbound prospecting and qualifying leads. Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to generate growth and revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities
Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, and LinkedIn to identify potential customers.
Research target accounts to identify the relevant contacts, develop a deep understanding of their potential needs and challenges, and build an outreach plan that will be tailored to their company.
Qualify inbound leads generated by marketing campaigns and assess their fit to our products.
Partner closely with our Directors of BD to identify and source meetings that lead to pipeline and closed revenue.
Maintain accurate records of prospecting and sales activity in our CRM.
Demonstrate curiosity about our customers, their pain points, and how we can best solve them; stay up to date on industry trends and the competitive landscape.
Engage with decision-makers, building a relationship to understand their current pain points, and educating them on the value of our products.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to refine outreach strategies and improve lead generation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field
Previous work or internship experience in the Business Development space is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort with outbound prospecting and handling objections
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Coachable, curious, and eager to learn
Gritty, self-motivated, and able to operate in a fast-moving startup environment
