About the role

  • Sales Development Representative identifying and engaging potential customers for a commercial insurance technology startup. Responsible for outbound prospecting and managing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and engage potential customers through outbound prospecting.
  • Manage a well organized pipeline of prospects in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to refine sales messaging & outbound strategies.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly goals for opportunities generated.

Requirements

  • Some prior sales experience (internships included), ideally involving outbound outreach or customer engagement.
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Highly-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Thorough critical thinker who isn’t afraid to take risks and make decisions.
  • Self-starter who independently seeks out opportunities to learn & succeed.
  • A growth mindset and a willingness to be collaborative with your teammates in the relationship building process.
  • Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty & stretch yourself.
  • Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions & results.
  • Successfully able to work in high-growth & ambiguous start-up environments.
