Responsibilities
- Solution Scoping, Development & Proposal Support
- Utilise your technical skills and knowledge to scope appropriate risk and resilience solutions to client needs.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop compelling proposals, proof of concepts, and responses to RFPs.
- Client Relationship Management
- Engage and share knowledge across existing and new clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct initial client meetings to understand their climate risk challenges and objectives.
- Manage client communications throughout the sales process.
- Lead Generation & Opportunity Development
- Identify and research potential clients and sectors in New Zealand and abroad.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline using Hubspot.
- Market Intelligence & Strategic Input
- Monitor industry trends, sector priorities, and regulatory developments in natural hazard risk management and climate adaptation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
- Preferably 2-5 years of client relationship management or business development experience.
- Understanding of climate change impacts and adaptation challenges in New Zealand.
- Proven track record in achieving business development goals and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Experience with CRM systems and proposal writing preferred.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions.
