About the role
- Lead DevSecOps Engineer at Truist responsible for designing scalable infrastructure and implementing DevSecOps solutions. Oversee automation practices and mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership and guidance on DevSecOps practices
- Champion DevSecOps as a core capability
- Design and implement innovative DevSecOps solutions
- Works independently with complex situations
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation frameworks
- Active participant with Truist Agile Guild and Agile DevOps Communities of Practice
- Lead DevSecOps Engineer will provide technical and process guidance to junior team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering or IT
- 4+ years of experience in git based application code development and/or DevOps Engineering
- Foundational cloud architecture knowledge
- Ability to write code
- Ability to construct basic application build pipeline
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Solid understanding of Linux and Windows systems
- Experience working in regulated industries such as banking and financial services
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
- Strong experience building and managing Terraform Enterprise automation
- Hands-on automation experience with vSphere, Nutanix, or cloud providers
- Expertise developing REST API integrations
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Practical experience with GitLab or GitHub for version control
- Experience incorporating automated testing into infrastructure workflows
- Familiarity with automating observability tooling.
