About the role

  • Director/Partner at TMG Consultants leading business development and strategy in the manufacturing sector. Driving growth and innovative consulting practices with a key focus on client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Business development & acquisition: You identify new business opportunities, manage your pipeline and forecast, cultivate long-term client relationships, and are independently responsible for acquiring projects in the manufacturing sector.
  • Key account development: You systematically grow key accounts and expand our network across the DACH industrial market.
  • Strategic partnerships: You develop pioneering strategies together with C‑level decision-makers, support complex transformation programs and ensure sustainable impact.
  • Consulting: You design and deliver programs for the manufacturing industry.
  • Leadership & company culture: You embody our corporate culture as a leader and take responsibility for the development of our team.
  • Thought leadership: You position TMG Consultants as a thought leader in consulting, create innovative advisory approaches and represent the firm at the highest level.
  • Commercial responsibility: You actively contribute to the company’s commercial success, assume growth and P&L responsibility for the manufacturing portfolio and help shape strategic corporate decisions.
  • Innovation & excellence: As a member of the partner group, you continuously advance our consulting methods, refine our methodological toolbox and set new standards for excellent client service.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in a senior role within management consulting with proven success in client acquisition and project ownership, with a focus on the manufacturing industry.
  • Deep expertise in the manufacturing sector, strategic thinking and the ability to analyse and shape complex interdependencies.
  • Excellent academic degree (ideally a PhD) in a relevant discipline from a reputable university.
  • Outstanding commercial skills (pipeline management, value propositions, proposals & pricing, C‑level negotiation) and a resilient professional network.
  • Excellent ability to build and maintain strategic client relationships at C‑level.
  • Authentic leadership presence with the ability to inspire teams and enable high performance.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills in German and English.
  • Passion for business development and a willingness to take responsibility.
