About the role
- Network Operations Backbone Professional managing operations for mobile and fixed network systems. Ensure technical support and development of network products and services in a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing specialized operation and maintenance on mobile and primary fixed network systems.
- Perform N3 (Level 3) operation and maintenance on a multivendor IP backbone network;
- Support deployment and engineering teams for new products/services across fixed, mobile and enterprise environments;
- Perform programming/configuration on networks based on multivendor equipment;
- Develop scripts and processes for automation (Python, Java and HTML);
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on L2/L3 protocols and optical networks;
- Develop metrics for service level analysis;
- Perform trend analysis and behavior analysis based on statistical network and service data;
- Interface with procurement for definition/monitoring of RFI and RFQ, with engineering teams (optical, IP, mobile, fixed and enterprise), IT, Corporate Security and IT Security, and commercial areas to provide technological support for new services;
- Participate in and support on-site interactions with internal and external stakeholders;
- Plan, execute and support scheduled activities on the backbone transport network;
- Plan and execute disaster recovery;
- Prepare technical reports;
- Perform logical acceptance/validation of transport equipment and services.
Requirements
- University degree preferred in Telecommunications, Engineering or related fields;
- Cisco CCIE Service Provider certification or equivalent preferred;
- Training/courses on Cisco, Huawei, Nokia, Juniper, ZTE equipment preferred;
- Training in Agile, Scrum or Lean Six Sigma methodologies preferred;
- Experience in Telecommunications;
- Experience with IP networks (BGP, MPLS L2VPN/L3VPN, OSPF, SR-MPLS, SRv6, L2 STP/MST/MSTAG/G.8032);
- Experience in operations and maintenance support;
- Advantage: courses in business intelligence, programming and AI tools such as Power BI, Grafana, Python, Alteryx and databases, etc.;
- Intermediate to advanced English (speaking, reading and writing).
