Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a focused team delivering safe, efficient, and reliable rail network operations for the Country Regional Network (CRN).
  • Lead strategic initiatives and operational improvements that optimise rail network performance and enhance customer experience for the diverse peoples of NSW.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in Rail network control systems, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Oversee service provider performance, manage contracts, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver long-term sustainability and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Extensive transport network management and systems experience, including operations, asset management, service provider oversight, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and improve efficiency, reliability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with experience in collaborating with government, suppliers, and teams, ensuring contract and service alignment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Australian driver’s license and flexibility to travel and work outside standard hours.
