About the role
- Core Network Operations Professional managing maintenance and operations in mobile Packet Core systems. Specializing in EPC, vEPC, 5GC, and DNS technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized-level maintenance and operation of network elements and services in the Packet Core network (EPC, vEPC, 5GC, internal DNS and recursive DNS)
- Analyze and execute configuration requests (MOP) and resolve medium- and high-complexity issues
- Handle corrective tickets for network elements within scope
- Perform acceptance testing of new network elements and services (ATP and PQR)
- Coordinate with the monitoring team to ensure deployment and proper functioning of monitoring integrations
- Provide support and manage the deployment and activation of engineering projects
- Support the engineering team in validating solutions or equipment within the network scope
- Analyze and resolve failures related to developed and executed configurations, and support network faults detected in normal production
- Work on on-call duty and emergency shifts according to the area's schedule
- Perform scheduled activities during maintenance windows (between 00:00 and 06:00)
- Develop scripts and processes for automation to increase efficiency and reduce task execution time
- Contribute to defining and improving internal processes, identify opportunities and implement automation in the area’s routines and processes
- Prepare operational procedures and technical documentation, and deliver internal training to support knowledge transfer within Operations teams
Requirements
- Support and operation of EPC, vEPC, Huawei 5GC, and F5 DNS elements (iDNS and recursive DNS)
- Strong experience troubleshooting Packet Core elements (low- and medium-complexity issues)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools: Zabbix, Nagios, and Grafana
- Proficiency in protocols: TCP/IP, STP, DNS, Diameter, and HTTP
- Desirable experience developing scripts and automated solutions to increase efficiency and reduce task execution time
- Intermediate knowledge of Linux, databases, and SQL
- Intermediate knowledge of Python programming
- Intermediate English
- Availability to work an afternoon shift (5x2 schedule) with weekend on-call duty
- Completed higher education (Bachelor's degree)
