Network Operations Consultant responsible for maintenance and operation of mobile and fixed networks. Lead support efforts for Tier 2 and 3 issues and team training.
Responsibilities
Responsible for performing maintenance and specialized operation on mobile and primary fixed network systems, providing Tier 2 and 3 support for corrective processes of TIM's Transport network.
Support the technical training process for Level 1 monitoring and remediation teams, as well as participate in automation of monitoring and troubleshooting processes.
Diagnose and address simple and complex failures in protection, routing, and resilience protocols in transport networks.
Interact with Level 3 Support, Engineering, OSS, and vendors when necessary.
Perform interventions across layers: BBIP: Access, Aggregation and Core. Routers: PE, Edge, Access, Shadow, Edge Core, Outer and Inner Core; Switch: Aggregation, Access and Distribution; UBB: MSAN, Access Service Router, Distribution and BRAS; WiFi: AP up to WLC; Full IP MPLS Metro Multiservice Network: Access, Aggregation, Distribution and Core.
Perform interventions on equipment such as PDH, PTN, SDH, NG-SDH, WDM, ROADM, Metro Ethernet, and related technologies.
Participate in projects, processes, tools, and validation of new solutions.
Prepare incident reports, analyses and inputs for Solutions Management.
Train Level 1 and Level 2 teams to align knowledge across the area.
Requirements
Availability to work in shift model (business hours), 5x2 schedule with weekend on-call rotation.
Knowledge of software, hardware, Linux and Windows.
Knowledge of Network Design and Architecture.
Knowledge of fiber optics, reference levels and testing instruments.
Experience in Continuous Improvement.
Experience in transmission technologies such as PDH, PTN, SDH, NG-SDH, WDM, ROADM, Metro Ethernet and related technologies.
Experience with data protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VoIP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EAPS, xSTP, Metro Ethernet, UBB and related technologies.
Knowledge of the company's OSS tools is desirable.
Knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G mobile networks and VAS is desirable.
Certifications in the field are desirable.
Bachelor's degree completed.
