About the role
- Nursing Professional Development Practitioner overseeing staff education, supporting role transitions, and providing training at Tidelands Health, the largest healthcare provider in coastal South Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Oversee staff education, support role transitions, and provide training and resources
- Participate in nursing research, share results, and integrate new findings into clinical practice
- Program development and leadership for at least one facet of the Organizational Development Department
- Provide consultation, tailor plans, develop recommendations and act as a change agent regarding nursing education needs and roles
- Facilitate a variety of educational programs encompassing all levels of ability and needs of the organization personnel, especially those requiring clinical expertise
- Participate in planning and implementation of educational offerings and opportunities
- Ensure policy and procedures, competencies, equipment and supplies needed for education offerings are current and operational to provide optimal education experience
Requirements
- BSN Required
- Master's Degree in Nursing Education (MSN in Education) Preferred
- Two (2) years’ experience in education and /or administration Preferred
- Three (3) years of recent clinical experience as a registered nurse Required
- Knowledge of Nursing Professional Development, adult learning theory, evidence-based practice, and measurement of outcomes
- Ability to establish collaborative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals, medical staff, and other health care providers
- Demonstrated skill in leadership, teaching, education, communication, group dynamics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Exemplary level of core customer service skills and competency
