Nursing Professional Development Practitioner overseeing staff education, supporting role transitions, and providing training at Tidelands Health, the largest healthcare provider in coastal South Carolina.
Responsibilities
Oversee staff education, support role transitions, and provide training and resources
Participate in nursing research, share results, and integrate new findings into clinical practice
Program development and leadership for at least one facet of the Organizational Development Department
Provide consultation, tailor plans, develop recommendations and act as a change agent regarding nursing education needs and roles
Facilitate a variety of educational programs encompassing all levels of ability and needs of the organization personnel, especially those requiring clinical expertise
Participate in planning and implementation of educational offerings and opportunities
Ensure policy and procedures, competencies, equipment and supplies needed for education offerings are current and operational to provide optimal education experience
Requirements
BSN Required
Master's Degree in Nursing Education (MSN in Education) Preferred
Two (2) years’ experience in education and /or administration Preferred
Three (3) years of recent clinical experience as a registered nurse Required
Knowledge of Nursing Professional Development, adult learning theory, evidence-based practice, and measurement of outcomes
Ability to establish collaborative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals, medical staff, and other health care providers
Demonstrated skill in leadership, teaching, education, communication, group dynamics
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Exemplary level of core customer service skills and competency
