  • HR Generalist supporting Hershey Company in driving HR initiatives for workforce effectiveness and compliance with regulations. Facilitating employee engagement and talent development across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting human resources organizational capability
  • Supporting, driving, and implementing HR initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness
  • Leading on-boarding activities for hourly and salaried workforce
  • Supporting implementation of talent development and learning efforts to meet organizational needs
  • Facilitating business performance by utilizing knowledge of the business and interrelationships to influence strategy and decision-making
  • Contributing to human resource compliance efforts by ensuring guidelines and policies are consistent and enforced
  • Overcoming obstacles to delivering quality HR services
  • Educating others on available technology, shared services, HR services, and procedures to meet customer needs
  • Supporting wage surveys
  • Identifying opportunities and recommending changes to increase performance, reduce costs, and positively impact metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or graduate degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline preferred
  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources required, with 1 year in a leadership capacity
  • Competent in Labor/Employee Relations, Recruitment and Selection, Benefits and Compensation
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with others across levels and functions while working on multiple tasks in a matrix organization
  • Working knowledge of state and federal laws along with practical application
  • Experience in administering FMLA, affirmative action planning, workers' compensation management, and unemployment
  • Ability to facilitate training/learning in large group presentations
  • Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
