About the role

  • IT Manager responsible for managing IT infrastructure and supporting all IT-related issues. Leading projects, ensuring cybersecurity and compliance while maintaining reliable IT services.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, manage and maintain the onsite IT infrastructure. Including servers, firewall, switches, wifi and office access control system.
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery process and all security protocols.
  • Ensure the availability and reliability of IT systems and services to meet business needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues and queries.
  • Providing IT Support at all levels. Respond to help desk tickets, troubleshoot issues, and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner.
  • Ensure remote employees can securely access any required resources.
  • Manage the remote access solutions (site-to-site and client VPN, file sharing).
  • Ensure remote workers have the proper security protocols in place to protect corporate data.
  • Lead and manage IT projects, including hardware and software upgrades, migrations, and system implementations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers to procure hardware, software, and services.
  • Ensure projects are completed within scope, on time, within budget and with minimal business disruption.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, general system monitoring and access control.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external security regulations and industry standards. (GDPR, Cyber Essentials, NCSC/NIST guidelines)
  • Regularly monitor systems and perform risk assessments to protect against cyber threats.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on servers, network equipment, and other systems.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Ensure efficient operation of backup systems and develop disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in managing key IT Infrastructure. (Firewalls, servers, storage, wifi, VPN and general networking).
  • Experience with Windows server and standard tools. (RDP, Group Policy, Active Directory).
  • Basic knowledge of MacOS
  • Microsoft 365. (Purview, Identity, Security and Exchange).
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support users of varying technical proficiency.
  • Ability to explain technical details to non technical users
  • Experience working as the only IT staff member.
  • Microsoft Intune.
  • Basic administration of Sage 300.
  • Fortigate firewalls.
  • Ubiquiti wifi.
