About the role

  • Zonal Sales Manager focused on profitably growing premium spirits business. Building partnerships and driving sales strategies for Beam Suntory in India.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for building and profitably growing the business in line with the organization's sales and distribution strategy
  • Identifying opportunities and maintaining relationships with business partners for smooth execution in the marketplace
  • Deliver NSV, gross profit, volume, and market share through the right product mix and investments in both Off and On-premises channels
  • Consolidate and build the sales planning for the state/s (S&OP) and deliver the annual objectives within the budgeted costs by implementing the right sales strategies
  • Engage with top customers in the zone to align on joint commercial objectives and elevate Beam Suntory as the preferred partner
  • Demonstrates and develops behavioral and performance standards for the team
  • Drive sales development initiatives like visibility programs, distribution expansion, and efficiency building programs
  • Assist in designing market development initiatives based on competitor activities and market intelligence
  • Customize channel strategy with commercial marketing for the state/s and drive the trade/marketing activity calendar for both on and off-premise channels
  • Ensure receivables and statutory documents are received within agreed timelines and as per company norms
  • Manage the availability of products through coordination with customers, supply chain, and credit team for the state/s
  • Drive sales automation programs and data analysis using the latest IT tools for superior results

Requirements

  • Graduate with an MBA/PG Diploma in Sales & Marketing/Business Management
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a reputable FMCG/Alcobev organization
  • Experience in handling both Off/Retail & On-Premise/HORECA channels would be preferred
  • Strong soft skills, including leadership, communication, strategic thinking, data analytics, problem resolution, conflict management, and stakeholder management.
