About the role

  • Account Executive in SaaS managing sales cycles from discovery to signature. Collaborating with clients and teams to enhance sustainability compliance with Sunhat's platform.

Responsibilities

  • Full sales cycle ownership: You manage the process from the initial discovery to contract signature. You keep the overview and have the persistence required for complex deals.
  • Value-based demos: Instead of standard slides, you deliver tailored pitches that address the exact pain points in sustainability compliance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: You act as the bridge between Marketing, BDRs and Customer Success to turn a lead into a real success story.
  • Strong negotiation skills: You negotiate confidently with decision-makers (often at C-level or Head-of level) and find solutions that are sustainable for both parties.
  • Customer retention: You work closely with Customer Success to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Brand ambassador: Whether at industry events or on LinkedIn, you represent Sunhat and build a strong network in the ESG space.

Requirements

  • Passion for the topic: Sustainability and compliance are not buzzwords for you, but a market with huge potential that you want to help shape.
  • SaaS track record: You have solid experience in B2B SaaS sales (Mid-Market or Enterprise) and have demonstrated that you not only meet targets but understand how to build a market.
  • Consultative approach: You sell through trust and a deep understanding of your customers’ processes, not by pressure.
  • Comfort with complexity: You stay composed when processes are lengthy or regulatory requirements are demanding. On the contrary: you enjoy bringing order to the chaos your customers face.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: You don’t wait for instructions. You spot optimization opportunities in the sales playbook and take initiative to implement them.
  • Language proficiency: You are comfortable communicating in German and English — both in informal exchanges and in tough contract negotiations.
  • Startup drive: You enjoy fast pace, short decision-making paths and being involved in setting up processes yourself instead of settling into an established routine.
