Responsibilities
Contract management: You review commercial project contracts and actively support their negotiation to ensure alignment with company objectives and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Contract advisory: You advise and support project teams on contract-related matters, including contract interpretation throughout the project lifecycle.
Contract amendments: You manage contract changes, supplements and extensions in collaboration with project stakeholders to minimize contractual risks.
Project monitoring: You monitor project performance against contractual obligations, track deliverables, milestones and payments, and address deviations or disputes.
Coordination with other departments: You coordinate with Legal, Finance and Procurement to facilitate contract execution, administration and termination, ensuring seamless information flow and compliance with organizational processes.
Additional tasks: You manage and negotiate change orders and addenda. You prepare claims or defend against them. You support the selection and implementation of contract management tools.
Requirements
Education/Training: You hold a degree in a technical or business-related field. A legal background is not mandatory.
Experience: You have professional experience in contract and claims management for projects in the oil & gas, chemical, energy sectors or plant engineering.
Personal qualities: You are well organized with a confident presence and strong negotiation skills. You are open-minded, curious and proactive.
Language: You are fluent in English and German at a negotiation/business level; additional languages are a plus.
