Responsibilities
Help meet state and federal grant reporting requirements.
Significant data entry and periodic verification of grant reporting through reconciliations.
Work hours are intermittent and part-time, and can be flexible.
Hybrid position requiring some work hours at the Business Office in Montpelier, but some remote work hours can be included.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting AND one (1) year or more of professional experience in accounting involving maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards.
OR Two years of full-time college coursework OR an Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, office administration or a related field AND three (3) years or more of professional experience in accounting involving maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards.
OR High School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more of professional experience in accounting involving maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards.
OR One (1) year or more as a Financial Administrator I with the State of Vermont.
OR Certification as a CPA.
For some positions preference may be given to applicants with supervisory experience.
For some positions experience working with the VISION system may be required.
