Payroll Manager handling end-to-end payroll for PayJoy, ensuring compliance and efficiency across Mexico and the US. Collaborating with teams to enhance systems and processes.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for MX and US employees processed by external vendors, including PTO, bonuses, terminations, and off-cycle payments.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, social security and statutory requirements in each jurisdiction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, legal and IT, to align payroll processes with organizational objectives.
Prepare and oversee payroll audits, managing relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders for audits and compliance checks.
Support payroll expansion into other LATAM countries as needed.
Drive process improvements, documentation, controls, payroll system optimization and integration payroll systems and technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, accuracy, and data integrity.
Stay ahead of changes in global payroll regulations and practices, adapting policies and processes as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, IT, or related field.
5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country exposure, specially focus in payroll for Mexico and the United States, but additional LATAM payrolls isa plus.
Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and analysis techniques.
Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with payroll systems and vendor management.
