About the role

  • Payroll Manager handling end-to-end payroll for PayJoy, ensuring compliance and efficiency across Mexico and the US. Collaborating with teams to enhance systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for MX and US employees processed by external vendors, including PTO, bonuses, terminations, and off-cycle payments.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, social security and statutory requirements in each jurisdiction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, legal and IT, to align payroll processes with organizational objectives.
  • Prepare and oversee payroll audits, managing relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders for audits and compliance checks.
  • Support payroll expansion into other LATAM countries as needed.
  • Drive process improvements, documentation, controls, payroll system optimization and integration payroll systems and technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Stay ahead of changes in global payroll regulations and practices, adapting policies and processes as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country exposure, specially focus in payroll for Mexico and the United States, but additional LATAM payrolls isa plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and vendor management.
