About the role

  • Senior Brand Copywriter crafting effective brand and marketing content for Starling Bank. Collaborating with teams across various channels to elevate the brand's presence and message.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality writing across a wide range of formats and channels.
  • Translate creative briefs into strong, clear concepts and executions.
  • Have a proven track record in scripting, concepting, editing, naming, as well as writing for OOH, radio, TV, email, web and social media.
  • Have a clear understanding of writing for SEO, GEO, paid search and other technical and performance marketing channels.
  • Take responsibility for your projects from concept to final delivery.
  • Bring a high level of craft, consistency and clarity to everything you create.
  • Present your work clearly and confidently to peers and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with writers, marketers, engineers and other designers.
  • Always push yourself and the team for stronger ideas and a higher level of craft in execution.
  • Contribute to creative reviews with ideas, creative references and positive critique.
  • Help maintain strong working relationships across the team and wider business.
  • Apply our tonal identity consistently and creatively across touchpoints.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve or improve how the brand is expressed.
  • Uphold high standards in execution, never deviating from house style.
  • Help ensure creative work aligns with our wider goals and brand principles.
  • Stay aware of trends and creative work across industries.
  • Bring new ideas and fresh perspectives into the team.
  • Contribute to the culture of the creative studio with curiosity and generosity.
  • Take initiative in developing your own skills and craft.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of writing experience in brand, marketing or creative studio environments.
  • A portfolio that shows original thinking, craft and versatility.
  • Experience working within a brand system.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Confidence in presenting your work and explaining your decisions.
  • Attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
