Finance Analyst supporting the Group Statutory Reporting team at Starling Bank. Involves financial reporting preparation and data automation projects.
Responsibilities
Assist in the production of the Group’s annual financial statements and quarterly reporting.
Support the statutory audits of the Group including the international subsidiaries and branches.
Assist in implementing efficiencies and improvements in statutory reporting through data automation.
Support the development of accounting models for new products and assist in implementing accounting processes where required (eg. EIR, SPPI test).
Understand and reconcile output of key monthly financial processes (eg. expected credit loss and their impact on statutory reporting).
Assist in the preparation of certain regulatory returns utilising statutory information
Implement strong controls and processes, including completing the review and sign-off of process documentation.
Requirements
A graduate with a relevant degree (or vocational equivalent), with demonstrable interest in the banking and fintech sector.

Tangible evidence of an underlying drive for a career in Finance
Committed to pursuing and completing the ACA accounting qualification
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is necessary. Knowledge of Python or Power BI is advantageous.
