About the role

  • Senior HR Business Partner supporting leaders and employees across various business centers at Stantec. Collaborating to implement strategies that enhance people and organizational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively partner with clients to identify strategic issues
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders
  • Practice effective relationship management with internal client groups
  • Scale the application of HR generalist disciplines
  • Serve as a workforce champion and promote a positive work environment
  • Facilitate trainings as needed
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset
  • Collaborate within a geographically dispersed team
  • Work collaboratively with functions such as HR service representatives and talent acquisition

Requirements

  • Proven influencer and collaborator
  • Developed skills in coaching managers, facilitation, conflict resolution and relationship management
  • Agility and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify and anticipate business and human capital challenges
  • Exceptional communicator
  • Discretion, sound judgment and critical thinking
  • Interest in continual personal development and keeping current in HR best practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of core HR competencies such as compensation, benefits, employment law, and more
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing demands
  • Prior experience in a global organization
  • Ability to travel to different Stantec offices
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience
  • SHRM certification is preferred
