Senior Business Development Proposal Specialist coordinating proposal activities for Stanley Consultants. Collaborating with management to implement client strategies and enhance proposals in a hybrid work setting.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and completion of strategic and/or complex proposals (including shortlist interviews) — primarily responsible for addressing client needs and implementing messaging aligned with the knowledge collected throughout the positioning phase.
Coordinate, lead, and track activities associated with the response of the opportunity from kick-off through development—including the quality assurance compliance process, production and delivery of the finished product.
Facilitate meetings and collaborate with team members to outline message components and develop differentiators, win themes, compelling text and graphic concepts.
Communicate with market segment leadership to make certain action items developed during the strategy development and implementation process are completed to increase win probability.
Work with marketing communications to create and prepare pursuit specific collateral or materials for positioning meetings.
Participate in the interview process to make sure client needs and proposal themes are addressed, and that messaging is aligned with the knowledge collected throughout the positioning and proposal phases. When necessary, attend interview preparation, practice sessions and coach interview teams on presentation skills and delivery.
Interview technical staff to tailor and/or write resumes, project descriptions and other proposal information.
Perform a variety of data and knowledge management activities such as updating, organizing and storing information for current and future proposal needs.
Oversee/conduct planning, editing and production of content for other projects such as statements of qualifications, presentations and other special projects as assigned.
Work with graphic design and other proposal team members to communicate requirements, needs and product expectations.
Organize, manages and/or co-leads review calls.
When needed, attends client pre-proposal and debrief meetings, shares lessons learned and best practices with team members as part of our growth mindset culture.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related field.
8+ years of experience in proposal development in the A/E/C industry.
Transportation experience a plus.
Proficiency in Word, Powerpoint, and InDesign software.
Experience with Deltek VantagePoint is a plus.
