About the role

  • Customer Service Apprentice providing support to customers at Specsavers store in Altrincham. Learning retail skills over a 13-month apprenticeship with hands-on experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently answer all telephone calls to the store
  • Advise customers of the current promotions and any relevant contact lens or product information
  • Meet and exceed all personal and team goals
  • Explore customer needs thoroughly, and approach customers to offer assistance
  • Book and change customer appointments on the in-store computer systems
  • Effectively deal with customer concerns and queries including in relation to multifocal lenses
  • Resolve any visual problems that customers have with new glasses
  • Actively demonstrate several ways to help control costs in your store

Requirements

  • Passion for providing excellent customer service and making customers’ lives easier
  • Great teamwork
  • Confidence in using IT systems
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • A high standard of spoken and written English
  • A high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to build working relationships with a wide range of people
