Solutions Engineer managing technical relationships with customers and prospects at Solace. Driving Proof of Concepts and presenting technical solutions to potential clients.
Responsibilities
A Solutions Engineer owns technical relationships with customers and prospects.
Driving and owning Proof of Concepts with prospects for identified sales opportunities.
Assisting customers and prospects familiarize with Solace technology from conceptual to hands-on levels.
Leading long (6months+) and complex sales cycles in full autonomy.
Presenting ideas and concepts to a technical audience.
Advising clients on application / deployment architectures and performing pre and post-production technical assessments of customer deployments of Solace technology as part of the sales support process.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree, ideally in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; Master’s in science, Business or Engineering an asset
5+ years experience in technology/presales/technical strategy consulting roles in the financial services/capital markets industry
Domain knowledge of one or more verticals within the financial services\capital markets industry
Experience as an Engineering Leader in a technology firm
Ability to articulate technical concepts and solutions to various audiences, from CTOs/CIOs to Developers, evangelizing modern concepts to help transform traditional solutions, especially in the integration and digital domains
Solid presentation and white-boarding skills
Must have solid presentation and communication skills
Presales experience would be an asset
Technical knowledge of messaging products such as IBM MQ, TIBCO EMS/RV and/or Open Source messaging such as Kafka, Rabbit, ActiveMQ, etc. would be beneficial to the role
Enterprise Integration Patterns and Solution architecture experience would be an asset
Experience with Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, PaaS platforms.
