About the role
- QHSES Manager leading and implementing QHSES standards for Europe’s first Sustainable Aviation Fuel facility. Ensuring compliance, safety, and strategies in the pre-operational phase.
Responsibilities
- Build, implement and continuously improve the Integrated Management System
- Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory QHSES standards
- Lead ISO certification processes and external audits
- Prepare and guide the organisation through BRZO inspections
- Manage environmental permits and change permit applications
- Maintain compliance registers and risk assessments, including RI&E and exposure assessments
- Lead serious incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions
- Act as primary liaison with authorities and external stakeholders
- Align site activities with corporate HSE and support the Site Director on QHSES matters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in health and safety leadership
- At least 5 years in major hazard / SEVESO sites
- Strong understanding of EU occupational safety regulations and SEVESO requirements
- Experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and VBS (SEVESO)
- Experience with environmental permitting and change permit processes
- Risk-based approach to safety and compliance
- Knowledge of “work as done” principles
- Safety professional certification (e.g. NEBOSH, HVK, MoSHE) or willingness to obtain
