About the role

  • Product Support Engineer supporting Varian products and assisting Field Service Engineers. Involvement in service documentation and technical support for imaging components on linear accelerators.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to situations where first level and second level field service support was not able to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software
  • Author technical documentation for the Field Service and Installation organizations
  • Support new product rollouts and initiate knowledge transfer to the Installation- and Field Service teams as required
  • Represent the Global Customer Service organization and provide input to the Engineering teams during new product introductions
  • Providing on-site installation and service support on request

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent degrees
  • 3 years experience in a support role
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Auto didactic skills to quickly familiarize with new areas
  • Fluency in English language, written and verbal
  • Previous exposure to medical physics or image processing (asset)
  • Experience with Varian Linear Accelerators (C-series, TrueBeam, Halcyon) (asset)
  • German language skills (asset)
