About the role

• Senior Product Manager overseeing digital projects and innovative solutions at Sidestream. Collaborating with clients and teams to ensure project success while working in hybrid settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects: Take ownership of digital projects from initiation to launch.
• Structure & execution: Plan, structure and drive projects with clarity and vision, working closely with our clients and technical leads from our teams.
• Alignment between client and technology: Identify customer needs, translate them into clear, actionable steps for the team, monitor progress and detect obstacles early.
• Advise and understand: Conduct client conversations and user interviews, gather feedback, and proactively advise your clients to enable informed decision-making.
• Support, develop and lead teams: Support your development team (2–5 people) throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Be hands-on: Despite strategic responsibility, stay close to the project, organize GitHub tasks, support testing and quality assurance, and contribute actively.
• Act proactively: Spot risks early, develop smart solutions, and think one step ahead in projects.

Requirements

• Project leadership experience: You have several years of experience managing complex (tech) projects with high personal responsibility, composure and structure.
• Tech-driven mindset: You are tech-affine (a development background or personal tech projects are helpful but not required) and can capture technical requirements clearly and communicate them precisely and constructively between different stakeholders.
• Hands-on mentality: You actively shape outcomes, ensure pace and quality, and are not afraid to dive into details when necessary.
• Clear communication: You communicate clearly, in a structured way, and fluently in German and English.
• High-performance mindset: You think ahead, tackle challenges, respond flexibly to change, take responsibility, and go the extra mile to find pragmatic solutions.
• Residency in Germany: You are registered as a resident in Germany and can work remotely or come to our Cologne office whenever it suits you.
