Responsibilities
Lead a team of Payroll Clerks, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including intake of time cards, payroll statement generation, and system uploads.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
Review and validate payroll data to minimize errors and discrepancies before processing.
Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
Maintain payroll records, update employee data (e.g., job title changes, exemptions, deductions), and generate payroll reports.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Payroll Product and GTM teams, on payroll-related projects.
Requirements
2+ years of payroll processing experience
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax deductions, and compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
High degree of technical literacy, with expertise in spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets)
Experience working with payroll software and systems
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently
Ability to lead and mentor a team while maintaining a hands-on approach to payroll processing
