About the role

  • Leading Payroll & People Data operations in a sustainable appliances company. Ensuring compliance and efficiency in payroll processes while managing a dedicated team in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • You ensure payroll, time management, HR administration and statutory filings are delivered on time, efficiently and in compliance with employment law, tax law, social security regulations as well as internal collective bargaining and company policies.
  • You act as an expert in payroll, company pension schemes, employment law, time management, payroll tax and social security contributions.
  • You monitor service quality and implement appropriate measures to maintain and continuously improve our high standards.
  • You ensure that all relevant policies, processes and control mechanisms are clearly defined and consistently applied.
  • You lead improvement and transformation projects to continuously enhance our service, user experience and efficiency.
  • You are the contact for internal and external audits in the areas of employment law, payroll tax and social security.
  • You work closely with HR Business Partners, the HR Country Manager and the General Managers to clarify service needs, improve processes and align the annual HR Operations budget for Germany.
  • You manage a team of currently 8 employees and are responsible for all people processes (performance management, talent reviews, salary rounds and development planning).
  • You communicate the company strategy to your team in an inspiring way and create an environment where learning, development and shared success are central.
  • You implement our continuous improvement (CI) goals and further develop our service model.
  • You promote a CI culture within HR Operations and continuously identify optimization potential.
  • You oversee the build, maintenance and continuous development of our knowledge bases, portals and documentation processes.

Requirements

  • Completed degree or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in payroll and previous leadership experience
  • Solid knowledge of different payroll setups and confidence in managing both internal and external payroll partners
  • Experience in project and change management
  • Strong quality- and process-oriented mindset
  • Very good HR tech skills (e.g., ACCURAT, Workday)
  • High organisational skills and sense of responsibility
  • Strong ability to collaborate across functions
  • Fluent German and English.
