About the role

  • Service Manager leading the strategic use of data at Social Security Scotland. Overseeing delivery teams and ensuring quality outcomes in digital and data projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a mixed delivery team responsible for multi-year data pipeline capabilities
  • Accountable for the quality, performance, and outcomes of your service
  • Provide clear end-to-end direction, prioritisation, risk management, and decision making
  • Drive continuous improvement and foster innovation in service delivery
  • Collaborate closely with operational delivery leaders within the Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) community
  • Inform and influence stakeholders to build consensus

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading large-scale data and digital projects or programmes
  • Extensive experience in leading data teams through all phases of a product lifecycle
  • Strong leadership and agile decision-making skills
  • Skilled in delivering roadmaps and plans on time and within budget
  • Must demonstrate understanding of complex user requirements and technical challenges
  • Experience in collaborative working across silos to maximize digital technology opportunities
  • Must provide specific examples of relevant experience in CV and Supporting Statement
