About the role

  • Business Development Manager responsible for developing investment intermediary relationships. Increasing retail investment market share and executing Glacier strategy in Pretoria.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining a portfolio of Investment focused Intermediaries
  • Increasing the Sanlam Group’s retail investment market share
  • Executing the Glacier strategy
  • Attracting new business and increasing retention of existing investment flows
  • Sourcing, onboarding, and activating new Intermediaries for Glacier
  • Achieving profitable annual sales volumes and meeting monthly targets
  • Growing regional business via Independent Financial Intermediaries and Sanlam Connect
  • Implementing a structured Intermediary support model
  • Providing accurate investment, product, fund, service, and investor information
  • Training and upskilling Intermediaries and their support staff
  • Supporting investment campaigns and marketing initiatives
  • Managing the Business Development Coordinator
  • Ensuring full adherence to regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Relevant financial/investment tertiary qualification
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a financial distribution environment
  • Experience supporting and developing IFA investment practices
  • Strong technical knowledge of retail investments, industry structures, and market trends
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
