About the role

  • Manager leading the Business Development Representative team across Portugal and the US at Salsify. Driving pipeline generation and performance in a fast-paced environment with well-known global brands.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop a BDR team in Portugal and the US
  • Drive day-to-day performance across activity levels, meeting generation, and pipeline contribution
  • Coach BDRs on outreach, messaging, objection handling, discovery, and qualification
  • Support pipeline generation across both net new and expansion opportunities
  • Help BDRs develop the product and technical understanding needed to engage with prospects and customers
  • Partner with the Sales Enablement team for consistent onboarding and ongoing programs
  • Reinforce adoption of tools, messaging frameworks, and training
  • Align outreach efforts with sales and customer success leadership
  • Monitor performance metrics for coaching and improvement
  • Support development paths for BDRs advancing to AE roles
  • Build a performance-oriented, collaborative team environment

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a quota-carrying sales role (BDR, AE, or similar)
  • Experience managing or mentoring sales talent
  • Strong understanding of pipeline generation across both new logo and customer expansion motions
  • Comfort managing to activity, conversion, and pipeline metrics
  • Ability to quickly learn and communicate product capabilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with Salesforce and common sales engagement / prospecting tools
