About the role

  • Assistant Manager overseeing adult day program at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Ensure high-quality service standards and support a clinical team in Richmond, BC.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain high-quality service standards at the ADP.
  • Assess client needs, supervise service delivery, and act as a clinical resource for staff.
  • Monitor client records, evaluate work processes, and assist the DCS in revising policies to ensure customer-driven care.
  • Maintain professional relationships with funders, health care organizations, and the public to enhance service quality.
  • Assist the DCS in overseeing the Assisted Living Program during the DCS’ absence.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to interview and select new team members.
  • Conduct employee appraisals, investigate staff issues, and initiate disciplinary actions or grievance management when necessary.
  • Coordinate staffing levels and ensure the efficient use of material resources.
  • Facilitate student placements and support advanced clinical research within the program.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Practicing membership with the British Columbia College of Nurse & Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of recent, related clinical experience, including at least one (1) year in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong planning & organizational, problem solving & decision making and time management skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Chinese (written and spoken) is considered a strong asset.
