IT Manager overseeing Rain's internal technology and security initiatives. Managing IT operations, access controls, and automation in a fast-growing fintech environment.
Responsibilities
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including laptops, device provisioning, access setup, and troubleshooting.
Serve as the primary owner of Rain’s IT vendors and tooling (e.g., Deel IT, JumpCloud), ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and clear escalation paths.
Coordinate device lifecycle management, including MDM enrollment, device returns, replacements, and inventory tracking.
Support employees with day-to-day IT needs such as access issues, VPN support, and hardware troubleshooting.
Own identity and access management across tools, ensuring users have the right access at the right time.
Design and maintain role-based access controls across core systems (e.g., Google Workspace, cloud tools, internal SaaS).
Audit and clean up existing permissions across tools, including 1Password vault access and admin roles.
Manage security configurations across internal tools, including MFA enforcement, device policies, and authentication standards.
Lead the rollout and management of hardware-based authentication (e.g., YubiKeys).
Define and document policies around device usage, access, and security best practices.
Partner with Engineering and Security to identify gaps, improve controls, and prepare for future audits or compliance needs.
Improve and automate IT workflows using tools like JumpCloud (e.g., preconfigured apps, scripts, policies).
Ensure enterprise plans, licenses, and seat usage are managed efficiently across tools.
Continuously evaluate and improve Rain’s internal IT and security stack as the company grows.
Support new office setup and office IT needs, coordinating with external partners as needed.
Act as the point person for IT-related vendor relationships, contracts, and negotiations.
Requirements
4–7+ years in IT operations, systems administration, or similar roles, ideally at a hyper growth startup or fintech business.

IT & Security fluent – You have strong hands-on experience in IT operations and are comfortable owning foundational security practices in a growing company.

Technically fluent – Comfortable working with identity providers, MDM tools, access management systems, VPNs, and modern SaaS environments.
