About the role

• Business Unit Manager overseeing material testing labs at viridiusLAB AG in Germany. Leading teams, driving business development, and ensuring operational effectiveness in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the testing laboratories within the Material Testing Business Unit in Germany.
• You take on the organizational and disciplinary leadership of the operations managers and/or managing directors of the individual sites.
• You drive the further development of the companies in the Business Unit: identifying and pursuing new market opportunities (new industries, customer segments, tenders, etc.).
• Promote cross-selling and collaboration within the Business Unit and across the entire corporate group.
• Strengthen market presence and actively support sales.
• Ensure that budgets and business plans are adhered to, and regularly review their implementation.
• Identify and realize synergies through collaboration within the group as well as cost savings.
• Oversee operational matters such as personnel development, laboratory infrastructure and working climate.
• Act as a voice between the holding company and the individual laboratories, promoting regular exchange through visits and feedback.
• Develop and implement restructuring measures when required.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in material testing, ideally with a focus on non-destructive testing (NDT), materials analysis or quality assurance in an industrial environment.
• Experience in optimizing testing processes, implementing new testing methods or in technical project management is advantageous.
• High willingness to travel (3–4 days/week) and very good German and English skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Solid experience in analyzing and optimizing business processes as well as in leading restructuring projects.
• A solution-oriented and proactive working style and the ability to successfully tackle new challenges.
