About the role
- Insurance Coordinator in Queensland Rail overseeing insurance management, claims processes, and administrative tasks. Proactive role requiring strong interpersonal skills and initiative in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the yearly insurance renewal and administration of the corporate insurance program
- Assist in management of general insurance claims (including recoveries)
- Be responsible for monthly general insurance reporting
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders (including customers, ministerial departments, insurers, insurance brokers, external legal panel in relation to general insurance claims
- Prepare and distribute insurance-related documentation, reports, and correspondence
- Support risk assessment activities and maintain accurate records
- Respond to the day-to-day needs of the business in relation to any general insurance queries
- Provide administrative support including inputting accounts for payment and management of the General Insurance Claims Management System (GIMs)
Requirements

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills – comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders
- Background in claims management, insurance, legal support, or customer service

- Knowledge of insurance principles and risk management practices.
