About the role
- Responsible for recruiting and enrolling qualified study participants for research studies and supporting outreach efforts. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for timely recruitment, screening, and enrollment of qualified study participants for ongoing research studies
- Speaks professionally to potential study participants to obtain and input accurate and complete demographic and medical information into the Volunteer Database (VDB)
- Communicates study details and procedures, addresses questions and concerns, and determines study eligibility based on inclusion and exclusion criteria
- Schedules screening appointments for pre-qualified study participants and follows complete screening appointment wrap-up procedures
- Updates information from study participant global files into the VDB
- Participates in community outreach programs
- Contributes to the completion of recruitment plan milestones
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months health industry or customer service-related experience and/or training
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
