About the role

  • Director of Strategic Payment Partnerships at PPRO leading team in Brazil and Mexico. Focused on payment methods and partnerships to enhance market access for global clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead two teams specializing in payment partnerships and acquirer performance optimization.
  • Coach and develop team members individually.
  • Identify regional projects and commercial opportunities.
  • Create new revenue lines from payment partnerships.
  • Manage costs through negotiation and compliance.
  • Drive conversion and authorization levels across acquirers.
  • Provide relevant reports and insights to senior leadership.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with payment partners.
  • Research industry trends and compliance regulations.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of proven experience in the Cards and Local Payments industry.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
  • Familiarity with market conditions and regulatory requirements, currently working in a similar position.
  • Strong experience in negotiating complex commercial deals.
  • Experience navigating inside financial services companies, mainly payment providers.
  • Solid understanding of doing business in Brazil and other Latin American countries.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus but not essential.
