About the role
- Senior Lawyer in the Coatings division shaping the Legal, Compliance & Insurance organization. Supporting global compliance strategy and governance while advising on legal compliance matters.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and execution of the global compliance strategy for the Coatings division
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of policies and processes that enhance compliance
- Support governance-related matters of the Coatings division
- Collaborate with the network of compliance officers
- Provide compliance advice in expertise areas (e.g., sanctions, anti-corruption, criminal and data protection law)
- Coordinate the global training and awareness program for compliance
Requirements
- Law degree (German first and second state examination)
- Minimum 5 - 10 years of professional experience
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in compliance roles in an international company
- Proficiency in compliance areas including sanctions, anti-corruption, criminal and data protection law
- Proactive team player with strong communication skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus
- Ability to demonstrate sound and independent judgment with an understanding of the business environment
- Good analytical, negotiation, and collaboration skills
