About the role

  • Training as an OTA with a mix of practical and theoretical education at St. Josefs Hospital. Focus on operative work and excellent future perspectives after graduation.

Responsibilities

  • 3-year training program to become an Operating Room Assistant (OTA)
  • Imparting the professional and methodological skills needed to independently perform and assist in operative procedures
  • Practical training comprises 2,500 hours
  • Theoretical training comprises 2,100 hours in block instruction at the Canisius Campus in Dortmund
  • On-site at our Canisius Campus Dortmund

Requirements

  • Secondary school leaving certificate (Fachoberschulreife) or an equivalent school‑leaving qualification
  • Alternatively: lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) plus a completed vocational training of at least two years, or being medically and linguistically suitable
  • A sense of responsibility and the ability to work as part of a team
