About the role

  • Construction Manager executing PG&E's Pole Reinforcement Program and ensuring safety and compliance. Oversee contractors and project phases while coordinating with crews and inspectors.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution on the Pole Reinforcement Program, System Inspections.
  • Supports contract adherence, consults on program feasibility and project site details, coordinates with construction crews.
  • Oversees project inspectors, performs construction oversight on a project specific basis.
  • Prepares job packages and construction estimates, conducts job walks, and meets with bidders, contractors, and governing agencies.
  • Ensures projects are completed per company standards, engineering design, regulatory guidelines, permits and schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or Construction
  • Travel approximately 50 - 80% with occasional overnight stays.
  • 7 years working experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or Construction preferred.
  • Knowledge of utility poles
  • Demonstrated abilities in cost accounting, contract administration, and project scheduling
  • Demonstrated abilities in project or program management inspection and quality control
  • Strong project and people management skills.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, communicate construction procedures, process, work methods, standards, policies, and guidelines.
