About the role

  • Business Analyst supporting business strategy and operations at PG&E. Analyzing data, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to aid decision-making in Energy Delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and analyzes data
  • Develops and/or maintains data models for what-if analysis
  • Develops and tracks business metrics
  • Develops and maintains standard, custom and ad-hoc reports
  • Develops or works with budgets and forecasts
  • Research best practices; develops benchmarks in support of business decisions
  • Performs quality assurance and business process improvement activities
  • Lead projects, determining scope, budget, timeframes, forming teams, assigning tasks, managing resources and issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline
  • 2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics
  • Full understanding of fundamental analysis and what-if modeling
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity
  • Presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio or similar software
  • Data modeling
  • SAP Foundry
  • Advance MS Excel skills (complex formulas) and Power Queries (M-language)
